Tunes is an Auckland-based music academy and production company, created as a collaboration between Heshan Gamage and Prasad D. Warnakulasuriya. It is the New Zealand home of the Heshan Gamage Academy, and every studio recording, production and commercial project is created under Heshan’s musical direction. Our aim is simple: to bring Heshan’s 25 years of teaching and music-making to New Zealand’s students, artists and brands.

With over 25 years of musical excellence, Heshan Gamage has established himself as one of the most respected music educators in the region.
His passion for music and dedication to teaching have shaped the careers of more than 5,000 students. A multi-instrumentalist and vocal coach, Heshan specialises in guitar, piano, sitar and voice training. His teaching method combines traditional techniques with modern approaches, so students don’t just learn to play, they truly understand and feel the music.
He has performed at numerous prestigious venues and received multiple awards for his contributions to music education. His students have become professional musicians, music teachers and performers. At AAVAAZ – The Academy of Music, and now in New Zealand through Tunes, his vision is a nurturing environment where students of all ages and levels discover their musical potential and a lifelong love for music.
